Welcome to the Archdiocese of Chicago's Employee Total Rewards Overview. This section of the website is dedicated to helping you as an employee of the Archdiocese better understand the scope of all benefits available to you. You can use the chart below to select any of our benefits. Make sure to review the benefit checklist at the bottom of the page to ensure that you have completed and reviewed all the necessary forms. For more information, please contact HR at 312-534-5360.

 

What are Total Rewards?

The circle on the right represents the four sections of the Archdiocese of Chicago's Total Rewards. This graph, plus the compensation you receive from your position encompasses all of the financial benefits available to you as an employee of the Archdiocese. The four portions of the circle include:

Benefits: The benefits of the Archdiocese include Health, Dental, Vision, Flexible Spending Accounts, and Employee Discounts. To learn more about these programs, click on the Benefits portion of the circle.

Work/Life Balance: This section contains information on sick days, vacation day, and holidays offered by the Archdiocese. Please note that holidays differ from location to location. Please check with your local administrator for more information about your exact holiday schedule. To learn more, click on the Work/Life Balance portion of the circle.

Income Protection: The Archdiocese offers protection against unforeseen events in an individuals life. Income protection includes Basic and Supplemental Life Insurance and Short and Long Term Disability Insurance. To learn more, click on the Income Protection portion of the circle.

Retirement: Saving for the future is important. That is why the Archdiocese offers different retirement options for employees. This section contains information on the 403(b) plan, Share Plan, and Frozen defined benefit plan. To learn more, click on the Retirement portion of the circle.

  




 

 

New Employee Benefit Checklist

Make Sure you are on the right track by completing our benefits checklist! Remember, all forms should be returned to the benefits administrator at your parish, school or agency; do not send the forms to the benefit provider. Have you:

Elected what type of medical coverage you are choosing (PPO, HMO, Blue Advantage) and filled out the appropriate enrollment form? If you are not enrolling in medical coverage, have you filled out the Waiver of Health Benefits form?

Elected what type of dental coverage you are choosing (PPO, HMO) and filled out the appropriate enrollment form? Please note that when you enroll in the Dental plan, you can not drop coverage until Open Enrollment.

Filled out the Life and Long Term Disability form and determined if you want to participate in the Supplemental Life Insurance Plan? If you choose to participate, you need to fill out the Supplemental Life portion of the Life and Long Term Disability Enrollment Form. If electing 3X or 4X coverage, you also need to fill out an Evidence of Insureability Form.

Determined if you want to participate in the Short Term Disability Plan? If you choose to participate, you need to fill out the Short Term Disability Enrollment Form. Please note that coverage amounts are ONLY available in increments of $25. Please call HR if you need assistance with the form.

Determined if you want to participate in the Flexible Spending Account? If you choose to participate, you need to fill out the Flexible Spending Account Enrollment Form. Please make sure that you fully understand the differences between the Health and Dependent Care accounts.

Reviewed the information on the 403(b) and Share Plan. Remember, if you do not make another election or opt out, you will be auto enrolled at 3% by your fourth paycheck.
